Hearing disorders

Diseases or defects of the auditory apparatus may result in a partial or total, permanent or occasional reduction in hearing. These disorders may manifest themselves in the form of dizziness, ringing in the ears and hypersensitivity...

Ear disorders:

  • affecting the external ear: external otitis,
  • affecting the middle ear:
    • involvement of the eardrum (otitis for example)
    • involvement of the ossicles (malformation...)
  • affecting the inner ear:
    • congenital,
    • traumatic,
    • infectious (German measles, mumps),
    • aging,
    • toxic (drugs, irradiation),
    • tumoural.

Disorders of the auditory nerve:

  • impaired balance,
  • impaired hearing.

Deafness:
