Prevention

Prevention allows an understanding of the risks incurred when confronted with noise and consequently the importance of protecting oneself 100% of the time spent exposed to the noise.

Impairment of hearing of employees working with noise may be avoided by:

• developing the individuals´ awareness about the risks of “noise”,
• reducing noise at its origin: layout and acoustic treatment of the premises,
• marking out the noisy zones,
• informing the employees about the existing individual protections and their implementation,
• regularly performing audiograms.
