The safety cord for protections manufactured before March 2005

The safety cord provided with the COTRAL PREMIUM hearing protection facilitates use of the protections and avoids loss.

It is equipped with a “GOUTTE D'O” system which clips on to the handles of the hearing protections. This fastening, which is removable and detachable for safety reasons, is incorporated in the handle of the protection for an improved hold over time.

DO NOT PULL THE SAFETY CORD IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE PROTECTIONS FROM THE EARS

DO NOT REMOVE THE CORD DURING MAINTENANCE

• In case of “necessary and urgent removal of the cord” by the employee, following the procedure below:
  
  Remove the clips of the handle of the protection by applying pressure to the pin of the Goutte d’O system.
  
  
• Installation of the cord after removal

• If the pin is no longer present in the handle of the protection
• Reinsert the fixing pin into the drilling of the handle of the hearing protection.
• Grasp the end of the safety cord. Insert the handle of the hearing protection into the centre of the clip and fix the sides on to the pin.
• The cord is in place.
